Move forward as Warehouse Manager at DSV in 's-Heerenberg

How do you do this? As a warehouse manager, you will lead a team of 4 to 6 team leaders and supervisors and be indirectly responsible for around 70 colleagues. You will drive safety, quality, productivity and customer satisfaction by using data to continuously improve performance. Together with your fellow warehouse manager and the operations manager, you ensure the operation performs at its best every day. You achieve this by:

• coaching, developing and inspiring team leaders and supervisors, enabling both them and their teams to perform at their best every day;
• analysing KPIs and operational data to identify improvement opportunities and implement sustainable improvements;
• leading Lean and Continuous Improvement projects that make processes smarter, more efficient and future-proof;
•  making decisions that contribute to a safe, high-quality and productive warehouse operation;
• working closely with internal stakeholders and customers to continuously optimise our services.

Your team stands out within DSV because of its entrepreneurial mindset, short communication lines and strong culture of continuous improvement. Together with 4 to 6 team leaders and supervisors, you will indirectly manage around 70 colleagues. You will work closely with your fellow warehouse manager and report directly to the operations manager. Within our 3PL environment, you will have the freedom to take initiative and make a real impact on operational performance.

You bring

• a completed bachelor's degree (HBO), preferably in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management or Transport & Logistics;
• at least 2 years of leadership experience within a logistics or operational environment;
•  experience working with KPIs, process optimisation and preferably Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt methodologies;
• strong analytical skills, sound decision-making abilities and the capability to think several steps ahead;
•  excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, with a genuine passion for developing people.
