Purpose of the position
To lead a Customs Brokerage team in processing customs entries to comply with client requirements. Supervise day to day operations and assist in solving issues. Coach team where necessary.


Key Tasks
•    Process customs entries ensuring compliance with CBSA and Participating Government Agency requirements.
•    Well versed in HS Classification & Trade Agreements
•    Arrange delivery, pay any third-party charges, release instructions, pick up #’s, etc.
•    Ensure client’s database is up to date and provide 
•    Ensure data accuracy and make corrections where necessary
•    Monitor and redistribute workload as required
•    Work to increase productivity through automation or process improvements

•    Update system maintenance, as necessary
•    Run daily reports and use system tools to ensure compliance with department KPI
•    Assist management with implementation and training of department personnel
•    Assign duties to Administration team, as required
•    Work with sales on business development and client retention
•    Assist with preparing RFQ’s or proposals
•    Other duties as requested

Educational background / Work experience
•    Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) Designation 
•    Minimum of 5 years’ customs experience with at least 1-2 years of supervisory experience
•    CIFFA or International Trade education, an asset


Language Skills

•    Fluent in English and French (written and spoken)•
Computer Literacy
•    Knowledge of Imanet System, an asset
•    Proficient in MS Office applications
