Position Summary:
The Business Development Manager plays a critical role in advancing customer engagement, digital adoption, and cross-border operations. This role is centered on improving myDSV digital platform usage, conducting key account health checks, and ensuring seamless Canada and Mexico shipment setup and management across all customers. The manager will also support strategic initiatives assigned by the Branch Manager, including new customer onboarding, further digitization efforts and the promotion of new DSV products such as DSV Xpress.
Key Responsibilities:
Digital Optimization:
- Drive and monitor myDSV usage across all assigned customers.
- Track and improve digital booking KPIs, addressing gaps and creating actionable plans.
- Conduct regular customer health checks, ensuring platform functionality, app updates, and resolution of trouble spots.
- Provide internal and external training to improve platform engagement.
- drive EDI, API and EDC projects as necessary to continue strategic development and efficiencies.
- Show immediate improvement in our digitization efforts, measured weekly with our digitization dashboard,
Canada & Mexico Setup & Shipment Management:
- Serve as the point of contact for Canada and Mexico shipping setups, including billing configuration, routing, and document requirements.
- Ensure all customers have appropriate systems, processes, and compliance measures in place for seamless cross-border shipments.
- Collaborate with customs, billing, and operational teams to ensure shipment execution and issue resolution.
Key Account Support:
- Conduct regular reviews of key accounts to ensure satisfaction and alignment with service goals.
- Work with depatment managers and sales managers on process improvement and specialty requests
- Work directly with customers and internal stakeholders to improve service outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Monitor quote requests, ensure timely follow-up, and maximize conversion.
Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives:
- Lead new customer and Shenker onboarding by coordinating internal teams and facilitating smooth implementation.
- Support the launch and market promotion of new DSV products, including DSV Xpress, ensuring customers are informed, trained, and converted where appropriate.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive process improvements and product adoption.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Prepare performance reports and updates for Branch Manager and stakeholders.
- Partner with sales, operations, and IT to streamline processes and enhance customer experience.
- Represent the branch in internal and external meetings, training, or customer presentations as needed.
For this position, the expected base pay is: $67,000 - $91,500 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
