Job Overview
The primary purpose of this role is to act as a ocean product interface between regional teams, TenderManagement, different layers of the DSV sales organizations and individual countries in order to analyze andpropose best door/door solutions.

 

The primary businesses of this role are:

  • Valuation of RFQ opportunities
  • To analyze door/door revenue opportunities for nominated RFQ’s
  • To coordinate and price ocean freight responses in order to achieve highest possible success ratio in RFQreceived.
  • Data entry in Ocean LCL Product Modules (Rate database, market updates) within defined scope and KPI’s


Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • RFQ coordination ( Global accounts / Multi area n/or strategic SME’s )
  • Supporting the regions to prioritize RFQ opportunities in order to optimize volume growth and door/doormargin
  • Develop and maintain RFQ planning process in alignment with Global and regional Tender Management
  • Act as window towards Global RFQ coordination
  • Closely cooperate with other regional RFQ functions on multi regional RFQ’s
  • Continual review of regional and global cost tariffs
  • Provide monthly status report including optimization suggestion

 

Other Duties

  • Support the overall ocean freight strategic and own groupage growth initiative
  • Support and drive the transition of co-load volumes into own DSV groupage containers
  • Monitor volume development on port-pair basis and address critical mass volumes to the operatingcountries to launch own services
  • Support the countries and regions to promote new services to the markets (SME product support)
  • Maintain global LCL Route Network under direction from Product & Procurement Ocean LCL Management
  • Maintain and update LCL tariffs
  • Collect and consolidate export statistics from Areas in scope including verification of data integrity anddeadline monitoring

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience in freight forwarding
  • Business administration competence
  • Knowledge of the freight forwarding and logistics industry and in particular LCL
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and in particular Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High degree of detail orientation and accuracy
  • Structured and well organized working style
  • Ability to work independently
  • Team player
