Move forward as Application Engineer at DSV in Venlo
Are you able to configure, test and implement the DSV WMS and related applications within our European warehouses, with a sharp focus on process optimization and automation? Then this is the role for you!
You get it done
In the role of application engineer, you contribute to projects at the intersection of IT and operations. You analyse process designs, translate them into application designs and are responsible for configuration and development within, among others, the Blue Yonder Dispatcher warehouse management system. You bring projects to a successful conclusion during the go-live phase. In addition, you configure automated solutions such as AutoStore and add-ons like Packtool, carrier and TMS platforms: you’re on it.
How you do this? You are responsible for the setup, functionality and performance of applications that support operational processes. You work closely with project managers, process & integration engineers, IT teams and customers. You also proactively identify improvement opportunities at both application and process level. You achieve this by:
- analyzing process designs and translating them into appropriate application and system designs;
- configuring and implementing solutions within the CargoWrite WMS suite (including Blue Yonder Dispatcher and Packtool), including integrations with automation solutions such as AutoStore;
- assessing the impact of changes on processes and systems, documenting configurations and changes, and safeguarding solution quality;
- providing support for incidents and changes and acting as a subject-matter expert for the WMS environment;
- collaborating with vendors, internal stakeholders and international customers, and guiding system testing, acceptance testing and on-site go-lives across Europe.
Your team stands out within DSV by supporting the business in general and streamlining customer processes. The team primarily delivers projects across Europe, providing project and change management alongside process and application engineering services.
