Are you a driven professional with a passion for IT and a talent for problem-solving? As an Application Support Specialist, you will be the point of contact for functional and technical support of our mission-critical applications.

Working in this department means being part of a dynamic M&A team (Mergers & Acquisitions) that integrates, migrates, and optimises applications within the DSV landscape: You’re on it.

 

How you do this? s an Application Support Specialist, you are the point of contact for both functional and technical support of our mission-critical applications. You work closely with colleagues, development teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure our applications are functioning optimally and contributing to the continuity of our business processes.

 

Your role revolves around analysing and solving technical and functional challenges. You monitor the performance and availability of applications, intervene when necessary, and implement structural improvements. Whether it’s supporting legacy systems during transitions, optimising logistics processes, or documenting solutions in a knowledge base, you are the vital link between IT and business.

 

Additionally, you will play a key role in implementing new functionalities and ensuring users are well-supported and trained in using the applications. With your expertise and customer-focused approach, you help not only to solve problems but also to build a stable and future-proof IT environment.. You achieve this by:

  • providing first- and second-line support for internal and external users;
  • analysing, prioritising, and solving technical and functional issues;
  • supporting legacy systems and contributing to a smooth transition to the DSV standard platform.

You bring

 

  • a completed MBO+/HBO degree in IT, Business IT or similar; 
  • at least 2 years of experience in a similar role;
  • knowledge of business applications, preferably Warehouse Management Systems (WMS);
  • experience with ITIL processes and ticketing tools such as Jira or ServiceNow is a plus;
  • strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
