Are you analytically strong, detail-oriented, and able to immediately identify where invoicing processes can be smarter and more efficient? As a billing specialist, you contribute to accurate, timely, and future-proof invoicing for our EUCT customers and the wider Dutch organisation.

Within the Settlement & Costs team, everything revolves around control, analysis, and optimisation of our financial administrative processes. You look beyond the invoice itself and ensure maximum revenue and cost control: you’re on it.

How you do this? As a billing specialist, together with the Settlement & Costs team, you are responsible for the full purchase and sales invoicing of DSV Road Netherlands, with a specific focus on our European Control Tower customers. You ensure that invoices are processed and checked accurately, completely, and on time, verifying sales and purchase invoices against correctness, contractual agreements, and completeness. You analyse (automatically) settled shipments, identify discrepancies, and investigate the causes of differences. In addition, you perform cost calculations for non-automated rates and actively monitor cash flow. Thanks to your sharp eye and attention to detail, our financial processes remain reliable and future-proof.

At the same time, you look beyond the numbers. You identify structural bottlenecks, contribute ideas for automation and process improvements (for example via Excel or system optimisation), and actively help to create a more efficient financial administration. You are the main point of contact for internal colleagues, customers at home and abroad, and external parties such as portals or audit firms regarding invoice and payment-related questions. Through your analytical skills, proactive attitude, and strong communication skills, you add value to our daily operations and help DSV Road work smarter and more effectively.. You achieve this by:

• analysing and correcting discrepancies in (automatically) settled shipments and checking sales and purchase invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contractual agreements;
• monitoring cash flow and performing cost calculations for non-automated rates;
• identifying structural bottlenecks, initiating process improvements (for example via Excel or automation), and maintaining contact with colleagues, customers, and external parties such as portals or audit firms.

You bring

• bachelor’s level working and thinking ability, preferably complemented by several years of experience in a financial administrative or controlling role;
• strong analytical skills and a process-oriented mindset;
• good knowledge of Excel and affinity with financial systems;
• a proactive, accurate, and solution-oriented working style;
• good command of both Dutch and English.
