Ready to make a difference? As a freight forwarder special services, you literally and figuratively push boundaries. As the department's name suggests, you and your colleagues deal with special transport.

You get it done
Shipments that don't fit easily into the standard network end up in Special Services. Whether it's medical equipment, machinery, or shipments crisscrossing Europe, you’re on it.

How do you achieve this? As a freight forwarder special services, you focus on fully developing solutions for our clients. From request, execution, to financial handling, you take the lead. You achieve this by:

• handling transport requests, spot quotes, tenders, or inquiries from the organization;
• buying and selling transports using a network of carriers and/or the department's own vehicles;
• calculating margins, preparing and sending out quotes, and ensuring their financial settlement;
• ensuring the execution of transport requests, monitoring progress, and resolving escalations if necessary;
• maintaining contact with our clients; you regularly visit clients with the account manager.

You bring

• passion for the profession! An education in transport or logistics is a plus;
• some experience in transport planning and/or expedition, including LTL/FTL, import-export, or special transport;
• commercial mindset, considering the interests of both DSV and the customer;
• proficient in both Dutch and English. If you also speak some German, that's a bonus!
