Move forward as Junior Freight Forwarder Italy at DSV in Venlo
As a junior freight forwarder in our road transport department in Venlo, you will be working daily for your own international customers. Naturally, your colleagues will train you fully in order to relieve these customers of all their road transport challenges.

You get it done
As a junior freight forwarder, you will work in the Italy team. Every week, several trucks leave Venlo directly for Italy. Because you fill up these trucks as efficiently as possible, you make the difference.

How do you do this? Your previous experience (work or internship) is a plus, as is your (preferably) completed logistics training! Naturally, your colleagues at DSV will teach you everything there is to know about road transport. After a thorough familiarisation period, you will be the contact person for our customers, you will organise all shipments for these customers and you will be in close contact with your DSV colleagues in Venlo, Dordrecht and other international branches. From request to invoicing, you are responsible.

You get this done by
•    preparing reports in Excel, handling complaints/claims and processing the additional logistics administration in our system;
•    identifying, analysing and resolving deviations in the process;
•    further developing customer relations and recognising business opportunities; 
•    booking shipments at various recipients; 
•    maintaining close contact with internal departments, including your colleagues from planning, sales and cross-dock.

You bring
•    a passion for transport and logistics
•    some work experience in a comparable role or through an internship is a bonus; we will teach you all the tricks of the trade with great enthusiasm!
•    a service-oriented attitude, you think in solutions, work well in a team and are not satisfied until the work is done; 
•    social skills, a healthy dose of humour and you are not afraid to pick up the phone; 
•    good command of both Dutch and English.
