How you do this? As key account manager Road, you manage, structure and further develop relationships with our key local customers. You know your customers, understand their business models and recognise which logistics challenges are critical to their success. With your knowledge of transport, market developments and supply chain management, you act as a knowledgeable sparring partner at both operational and strategic level.

 

You build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders within customer organisations and ensure that DSV continues to align with their ambitions and objectives. You share relevant market insights, advise customers on opportunities to make their supply chains more efficient and reliable, and translate commercial signals into concrete improvement and growth opportunities. You achieve this by:

  • managing, structuring and further developing a portfolio of strategic local key accounts;
  • building and maintaining long-term relationships with decision-makers and other relevant stakeholders within customer organisations;
  • sharing market knowledge, logistics expertise and supply chain insights to proactively advise customers;
  • identifying improvement opportunities within customers’ logistics chains and translating these into practical and commercially viable solutions;
  • monitoring commercial agreements, customer satisfaction and the continuity of the partnership;
  • further developing existing customer relationships by identifying and following up growth and optimisation opportunities at an early stage.

You bring

  • proven experience in account management, preferably within transport, logistics or supply chain;
  • strong relationship-building and commercial skills, enabling you to professionally manage and further develop long-term customer relationships;
  • the ability to translate customer needs, market developments and logistics challenges into concrete improvements and growth opportunities;
  • a structured and results-driven approach, ensuring that agreements, actions and commercial opportunities are followed up carefully;
  • the confidence and subject matter expertise to act as a sparring partner for customers;
  • fluency in both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
