Move forward as Operation Center Land Manager at DSV in Sevenum

Are you an experienced leader within logistics who can take processes, people and service to the next level? In this role, you are responsible for the optimal functioning of the Operations Center Land and ensure that shipments move efficiently, with high quality and according to plan through the network.

Within the Operations Center Land, operations, service and international collaboration come together. You ensure that processes run smoothly and teams perform at their best: you’re on it.

 

How do you do this? By managing and continuously improving the operational and administrative processes within the Operations Center Land. In this role, you are ultimately responsible for the efficient and high-quality handling of international shipments within the European network. You monitor the progress of import and export processes, including bookings, customs documentation and administrative handling, ensuring these are carried out in accordance with guidelines, procedures and quality standards. You also act as the escalation point for operational issues and work closely with internal departments such as Customer Service, warehouse operations, customs and invoicing to guarantee smooth and timely service delivery.

 

In addition, you continuously analyse the performance of processes, systems and partners within the network. Based on KPIs, reports and operational insights, you adjust where necessary and initiate improvements in ways of working, systems and collaboration. You work with team leaders on process optimisation, implement new business and projects within the Operations Center Land and ensure that automation opportunities are fully utilised. In doing so, you actively contribute to an efficient organisation, a high level of service and strong international cooperation within the logistics network. You achieve this by:

  • managing, coaching and developing team leaders and employees, while ensuring efficient capacity planning;
  • monitoring operational processes, service levels and KPIs and adjusting where required;
  • analysing and optimising processes, systems and collaboration within the international network.

You bring

  • hbo level of thinking and working, and experience within transport, forwarding or logistics services;
  • leadership experience in an operational environment with multiple teams or team leaders;
  • strong analytical skills and experience managing based on KPIs, processes and service levels;
  • excellent communication skills in Dutch and English and the ability to collaborate effectively within an international network.
