Move forward as Senior Team Lead Eastern Europe at DSV in Venlo
An average of 5,000 shipments per month and about 50,000 shipments annually. Together with your team, you ensure that all these shipments are handled smoothly. Your team handles the operational aspect, while you operate at strategic level. Ready to make a difference?

DSV is actively pursuing its growth ambition for transport to Eastern Europe. In this transitional phase, as a senior team lead, you take the lead and drive the realization of growth for our groupage and freight forwarding department. The processes and team are in place, but there's always room for improvement, and you actively contribute to that.

 

How do you do this? As a true people manager, you stand among your team members. You know what's going on, identify opportunities, and know exactly which buttons to press when an escalation occurs. You achieve this by:
•    coordinating the planning process, ensuring efficient work and optimal staffing. Your focus? Trucking & rails to Eastern Europe;
•    managing the financial flows within your department, based on the budget you've set. Proactively identifying and resolving occasional or structural disruptions;
•    building and maintaining long-term customer and partner relationships, actively engaging with both existing and potential relationships to strengthen our position in the market;
•    demonstrating leadership by jumping in operationally when necessary, pitching ideas to senior management, and managing stakeholder interests in Eastern Europe.

You bring
•    extensive knowledge and experience in the road transport sector, preferably with experience in groupage, freight forwarding, and rail transportation;
•    experience with managing a fleet and multimodal operations, with experience to or from Eastern Europe being a significant advantage;
•    strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to work with numbers and calculations;
•    experience in working with a transport management system, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems;
•    proven leadership skills and strong communication in both Dutch and English.
