In the role of tender specialist, you take on a proactive position within our Dutch sales department, bringing together the best of the customer, operations and sales. Translating data into a winning business case: you’re on it.

How you do this? As a tender specialist, you take ownership of the entire tender cycle for road transport. You analyse customer data and tender requirements and translate these into clear principles for a suitable transport concept. Based on your insights, you define the right approach together with the Business Development Manager and ensure that all relevant internal departments, such as Sales, Operations and local planning teams, work effectively together on one strong proposal.

In this role, you act as the connecting link between various stakeholders and monitor the progress of the tender process. You optimise collaboration between teams, ensure a realistic and executable operating model and incorporate customer feedback into strategic, data driven proposals that are both commercially attractive and operationally feasible. You achieve this by:

• analysing detailed transport data and customer requirements and translating these into strategic decisions;
• collaborating with Sales, Operations and local planning teams to develop a suitable operating model;
• developing and optimising calculation models, processes and tender methodologies to ensure consistent and accurate offers;
• managing stakeholders and overseeing the tender timeline from start to finish, contributing to the strategy throughout the entire tender process right through to completion.

You bring

• bachelor’s level of working and thinking;
• experience in an analytical role, preferably within logistics;
• strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly identify connections;
• experience in stakeholder management and excellent communication skills;
• a good command of both the Dutch and English languages;
• excellent Excel skills and an affinity with data tools and systems.
