Move forward as Transport Planner LTL/FTL at DSV in Venlo
With us, you will have the opportunity to build up a new division for transporting goods to and from Eastern Europe. With your experience in transport planning and strong communication skills, you will start planning your own trucks.

You get it done
You ensure that these trucks are on the road as efficiently as possible, so that our customers are satisfied and our trucks run as profitably as possible. In consultation with your colleagues, you plan shipments from DSV's planning lists for your trucks. With your knowledge and experience, you will know exactly which planning boards and online tools to use to find even more consignments that can go on your trip. When you come across a customer request that fits our profile perfectly, you don't hesitate to pick up the phone and contact the customer. You’re on it!

How do you do this? You are a real relationship builder and strive to turn every new customer into a repeat customer. Your goal is therefore to maintain regular contact with our customers so that we don't miss any shipments. With your expertise and enthusiasm, you contribute to the success of our company. 

You achieve this by:
•    taking initiative in the growth of our new division;
•    calculating rates and preparing transport offers;
•    planning shipments across our own trucks, with the aim of having each truck drive to and from Eastern Europe as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible;
•    ensuring correct administrative processing and keeping your customers up-to-date on the status of their shipments.

You bring

•    experience as a transport planner, forwarder or freight forwarder;
•    experience in working in a transport management system and searching for shipments through various channels;
•    precise and structured way of working. You have strong communication skills and are not afraid to pick up the phone;
•    good command of both Dutch and English.
