JOB OVERVIEW

• Provide proactive and comprehensive import and export custom clearance and forwarding services to DSV Ocean Freight customers.
• Ensure that all customs clearances executed comply with the guidelines and regulations of the Royal Malaysian Customs Authority.
• Ensure that all movements, including both LCL and FCL, executed by DSV are timely and in accordance with customer SOP.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promote, present, and adhere to the Company’s Core Values, which are based on three key principles: Performance, Integrity, and Professionalism.
• Be responsible for interfacing with a group of customers, including Global Key Accounts, Key Accounts, SMEs, and General Accounts, which will be allocated at the discretion of the Line Reporting.
• Interact with networks, departments, including peers and subordinates, to enhance better understanding and share customer-related information.
• Provide consistent data/information updates and milestones set by the Company and Key customers.
• Monitor shipments with various internal and external parties to ensure shipments are custom cleared and timely arrangements are made for transportation.
• Be responsible for Ocean customs clearance activities and transportation executed under DSV appointment.
• Monitor and coordinate customs forms (Import/Export) for Ocean shipments in a correct and timely manner to avoid additional costs.
• Monitor and follow up on the return of Customs Receipts and documents to upload into eDOC and for distribution to FES/FIS.
• Follow up on orders taken and advise FES/FIS on customs status and details immediately upon receiving shipment clearance status.
• Liaise with shipping agents, port authorities, CFS, licensing authorities, FES/FIS, and customers for the release of Export/Import consignments.
• Monitor and update status reports for Import/Export movements and clearance on a daily basis.
• Maintain records of customers’ regulated documents (MIDA exemptions, SST, LMW, N.O.T, Permits, Customs Appointment approval) saved in the server and ensure records are updated with validity for customs clearance purposes.
• Maintain accountability and accuracy for updating and meeting deadlines for monthly reports required by customers.
• Ensure timely invoicing of shipments as per company KPIs.
• Release invoices to customers with supporting documents according to requirements or SOPs.
• Ensure payment collection prior to the release of shipment(s) for customer(s) under cash terms.
• Ensure shipment costs are correctly updated in CW1.
• Verify vendor/intercompany invoices and raise disputes for incorrect invoices.
• Handle disputes and queries from customers and DSV overseas offices on billing matters and resolve them in a timely manner.
• Monitor and update respective sales personnel on the validity date of all customers’ quotations.
• Participate in company projects and initiatives as required.
• Act as a backup for other team members when necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree / Diploma / SPM
• Basic computer knowledge course
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in the Seafreight industry is preferred
