Freight Forwarder -Air Export
Shannon -Ireland 
Hours Mon- Fri, 37.5 per week 
Salary €40000-€42000 per annum 

At DSV, we keep supply chains flowing. The Airfreight Operator is responsible for the effective execution of airfreight shipments, delivering high quality operational performance while ensuring compliance with all regulatory, customer, and internal DSV requirements.

The role requires strong coordination with customers, airlines, overseas DSV offices, and internal stakeholders to deliver cost effective and reliable transport solutions in line with DSV’s service standards.

What will you be doing?

•    Execute airfreight import, export, and cross trade shipments in line with customer SOPs 
•    Arrange airline bookings and manage capacity, routings, and schedules 
•    Prepare accurate airfreight documentation, including MAWB/HAWB, commercial invoices, packing lists, and security/customs documents 
•    Coordinate with airlines, hauliers, ground handlers, customs brokers, and overseas DSV offices 
•    Proactively monitor shipments, manage delays or exceptions, and issue pre alerts with accurate milestone updates 
•    Act as the operational point of contact for assigned customers, delivering a professional, solution focused service 
•    Respond promptly to customer enquiries and resolve operational issues effectively 
•    Support account management teams to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention 
•    Ensure compliance with IATA, aviation security, customs regulations, and DSV operating procedures 
•    Maintain accurate shipment data and support internal, customer, and regulatory audits 
•    Protect agreed gross margins through cost awareness and invoice verification 
•    Ensure accurate customer billing and timely system updates in CargoWise and other DSV systems

About You

•    Previous experience working in airfreight forwarding or logistics operations 
•    Good understanding of airfreight processes and required documentation 
•    Experience using freight forwarding or logistics systems 
•    Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively 
•    High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality 
•    Customer focused, with a proactive and solution oriented approach 
•    Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills 
•    Comfortable working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment 
•    A collaborative, team oriented mindset aligned with DSV values
