Role: Freight Forwarder - Customer Operations Specialist 
Location: Shannon, East Park 
Hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5hr 

We are looking for a Customer Operations Specialist to join our Air & Sea division. In this role, you will ensure DSV consistently exceeds customer expectations by providing full visibility, accurate administration, and strong end‑to‑end operational control of all orders and shipments. You will act as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring timely communication, collaborative information sharing, and early issue identification to support a seamless customer experience. 

What will you be doing? 

• Ensure customers receive full visibility and control of all orders and shipments, maintaining strong communication at all times.  

• Work within agreed service levels, KPIs, SOPs, and financial parameters (revenue and cost).  

• Complete all administrative tasks accurately, including file opening, invoicing, customs brokerage, and system data entry.  

• Support collaborative, real‑time information sharing across suppliers, carriers, and third‑party logistics providers.  

• Manage early‑warning alerts and exception cases to prevent supply chain disruptions for customers.  

• Maintain and manage in‑transit reports with accuracy and attention to detail.  

• Contribute proactively to the achievement of departmental, branch, and company goals.  

• Engage with internal teams including Air Freight, Commercial, Finance, HR and Brokerage, and build strong relationships with external stakeholders such as airlines, agents, overseas offices, and customers.  

About You 

• Experience in office administration and customer service.  

• Strong understanding of data management systems.  

• Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to multitask under tight deadlines.  

• Able to deliver key projects on time and in line with objectives.  

• Intermediate IT skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.  

• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.  

• Flexible and willing to work in other operational functions where needed.  

• Customer‑focused, quality‑driven, and committed to continuous development.  

• Able to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.  

Desirable: 

• Air Import & Export experience.  

• Experience within Logistics and Distribution.
