Multi-Modal Operations Team Lead

Are you ready to take the next step in your logistics career and lead a high-performing global operations team? 
We’re looking for a driven and people-focused Team Leader to inspire and develop a team managing international import/export shipments. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape operations, build talent, and grow into a senior leadership role. 

What will you be doing?

•    Lead and support a team managing global import/export shipments, ensuring every movement is tracked and delivered smoothly in line with regulations and best practice. 
•    Create a culture of accountability, where team members take ownership of their shipments—from accurate documentation to proactive issue resolution and cost control. 
•    Drive team performance against KPIs and financial targets, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and commercial awareness. 
•    Coach and develop your team through regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and tailored development plans. 
•    Identify training needs and champion ongoing learning to build a highly skilled and versatile team. 
•    Foster a positive, collaborative team environment with high engagement and clear communication. 
•    Support recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning, helping build a strong and sustainable team. 
•    Handle employee relations matters with professionalism and empathy, supporting a fair and inclusive workplace. 
•    Strengthen customer relationships, ensuring excellent service and swift resolution of any queries or escalations. 
•    Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and quality across all operations. 
•    Look for smarter ways of working—identifying and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.

About you

•    Experience in freight forwarding or global logistics operations 
•    Previous leadership or supervisory experience (or ready for your first step into leadership) 
•    Strong communication and problem-solving skills 
•    A passion for developing people and driving team success 
•    A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
