About Supply Chain Optimisation:
DSV Supply Chain Optimisation (SCO) is a global team working across all DSV divisions, supporting both DSV and external customers in providing independent supply chain diagnostics, optimisation and advisory services across various industries and geographies.
The Position:
The Commercial Director drives Supply Chain Optimisation sales and market awareness across APAC, ensuring an excellent end‑to‑end customer experience. The Commercial Director will, in short:
- Drive commercial strategy and sales execution for the APAC region.
- Collaborate with global Commercial Directors to maximise overall sales and maintain commercial excellence.
- Oversee project delivery and closure—in partnership with the assigned project lead (e.g., Project Manager)—to ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
- Identify and progress follow‑on opportunities after project completion.
Role & Responsibilities:
Commercial Strategy & Growth
- Define and drive regional commercial strategy for Supply Chain Optimisation, aligned with global SCO commercial direction.
- Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities to achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Drive conversion from awareness though to the proposal and project start
Commercial Excellence
- Maintain and continuously improve sales collateral (service catalogue, case stories) to build awareness and enable scalable selling.
- Ensure proposals are high quality and consistent with global standards, including clear scope, deliverables, and resource alignment.
Cross-functional Alignment
- Align with SCO Operations/Project Lead before committing to scope, delivery model, timelines and resourcing.
- Coordinate with various DSV Operational and relevant product teams to validate feasibility and ensure recommendations can be executed in practice.
Project Closure & Value Realisation
- Ensure disciplined project closure: invoicing on completion, customer feedback capture, internal lessons learned, and creation of reusable case material where relevant.
- Identify follow-on opportunities post‑delivery and ensure they are captured and progressed.
Innovation
- Partner with Operations and service/tool owners to strengthen and grow the SCO service portfolio and improve scalability.
The candidate is expected to satisfy the following criteria: -
- Leadership: Strong ability to inspire, motivate, coach and lead high-performing project teams
- Business Acumen: Strong grasp of supply chain management, transportation- and warehousing, financial statements, market dynamics, strategic planning and problem solving
- Communication: Exceptional skills in presenting, negotiating, and managing stakeholders across all levels
- Technical: Knowledge of supply chain optimization and consulting approaches
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or similar in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management or Operations Research
- Minimum 8 years of experience in supply chain optimisation. Leadership experience would be an advantage
- Expertise in warehouse design and optimisation, network and transport optimisation, location modelling, and sustainability. Experience in Supply Chain strategy advantageous
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
