Role Purpose

The Vertical Compliance Manager plays a crucial role in implementing, supporting, and monitoring the Vertical Quality Management System (VerticalQMS). The role ensures compliance with global vertical requirements, supports operational teams, and drives continuous improvement across countries and branches. The position has a functional reporting line to the Senior Compliance Manager, ensuring alignment with the vertical’s framework, regulatory expectations, and strategic compliance priorities

Key Responsibilities

1. Framework Implementation & Support

• Implement and maintain the VerticalQMS across assigned sites or regions
• Ensure full compliance with vertical standards, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Support alignment with framework updates as directed by the Senior Compliance Manager and SMEs

2. Training & Capability Development

• Deliver training for teams on VerticalQMS, compliance processes, and operational requirements
• Identify local training needs and communicate gaps or development needs to the Senior Compliance Manager
• Support the continued development of current training materials based on experience using the advanced training material and feedback from attendees

3. Audit & Evaluation Activities

• Complete compliance audits in line with framework requirements
• Participate in customer, certification, or regulatory audits as required
• Support close‑out of findings and corrective actions; monitor implementation status

4. Compliance Oversight & Issue Resolution

• Ensure nonconformities, customer complaints, and escalations are addressed promptly and in line with VerticalQMS
• Assist in risk assessments, change controls, and continuous improvement efforts

5. Stakeholder Alignment & Functional Reporting

• Active team-player able to support and spar with vertical support team
• Maintain strong coordination with the Senior Compliance Manager for guidance, alignment, and prioritisation
• Provide operational feedback to the Senior Compliance Manager to support framework refinement and improvement loops
• Collaborate with vertical leads, support teams, SME groups, and operational stakeholders

6. Customer & Business Partner Support

• Ensure local compliance supports customer requirements and sector specific standards

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of VerticalQMS and regulatory requirements (sector specific and global)
• Ability to translate framework requirements into operational execution
• Strong stakeholder communication skills
• Experience in audits, training, and ongoing compliance monitoring
• Proactive, structured, collaborative mindset aligned with DSV’s compliance and operational culture

• Successful implementation of VerticalQMS requirements across assigned areas
• Training delivery, adoption, and effectiveness.
• Quality of data, reporting, and insights shared with line manager, own team and Senior Compliance Manager
• Positive stakeholder feedback and demonstration of continuous improvement
