About the Position:
Lead Solution Architect is responsible for defining and governing the overall solution architecture for enterprise applications and digital transformation initiatives. This role ensures that business requirements are translated into scalable, secure, reliable, and cost-effective technology solutions aligned with the organization's strategic objectives and enterprise architecture standards.
Lead Solution Architect provides technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, collaborates with business stakeholders, project managers, development teams, infrastructure, and security teams, and ensures successful solution delivery while managing technical risks, quality, and compliance.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver scalable Warehouse Management System (WMS) solutions that support operational and business requirements across regional sites
- Work closely with Operations, customers, vendors, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into functional and technical solutions
- Define and maintain WMS configuration, workflows, integration architecture, and system standards to ensure operational efficiency, scalability, and consistency
- Lead integration design between WMS and external systems such as ERP, OMS, TMS, carrier systems, customer platforms, automation solutions, and reporting platforms
- Design and support integration of warehouse automation technologies including WCS, WES, conveyors, sortation systems, robotics, AMRs, and other material handling equipment
- Support project implementation activities including solution design, testing, deployment, go-live, hypercare, and post-production stabilization
- Collaborate closely with development, integration, and vendor teams to guide technical execution and ensure deliverables align with architectural standards, quality requirements, and project timelines
- Ensure solution designs address performance, scalability, availability, security, monitorability, auditability, and business continuity requirements
- Drive pre-sales, customer onboarding, and solution assessment activities by defining solution architectures, estimating effort, assessing feasibility, and aligning business requirements with technology capabilities
- Drive continuous improvement, architecture governance, documentation standards, innovation initiatives, and best practices across the Contract Logistics technology landscape
Specific experience in the following areas:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science Engineering or equivalent
- 10+ years of relevant WMS experience, including solution design and architecture for enterprise applications
- Strong knowledge of logistics IT applications (WMS, TMS, ERP, visibility platforms, automation platforms) and warehouse operations
- Experience working within Contract Logistics, 3PL, or Supply Chain environments
- Experience integrating WMS with warehouse automation technologies including WCS, WES, conveyors, sortation systems, robotics, AMRs, ASRS, and automated material handling equipment
- Experience in highly automated B2C, retail, consumer electronics, and eCommerce fulfilment environments supporting high-volume order processing and omnichannel operations
- Experience delivering WMS and automation solutions for large-scale customers with complex operational and integration requirements
- Familiar with labelling technologies such as Bartender is a plus
- Solid understanding of integration concepts including EDI standards, APIs, Web Services, middleware, messaging technologies, and event-driven architectures
- Understanding of database architecture, data modelling, and design principles
- Familiar with SQL queries and data analysis
- Experience with cloud-based platforms and integrations, preferably Microsoft Azure
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and version control (Git/GitLab) as part of the delivery lifecycle is a plus
- Familiarity with reporting and analytics platforms such as Power BI is desirable
- Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and project implementation lifecycles
- Experience working with multi-site and multi-country warehouse deployments is highly desirable
- Good communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and solution design capabilities
