Purpose of Position

To oversee and manage operations for a key customer at DSV Singapore Air & Sea, ensuring comprehensive support across all road-related services, including local domestic distribution, cross-border trucking, and local haulage.

Key Tasks

• Local Domestic Distribution: Managing the delivery and distribution of goods within Singapore, ensuring that shipments are delivered efficiently and on time within the local area.
• Cross Border Trucking: Overseeing the transportation of goods across international borders (SG-MY, SG-TH and some return flows), coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure smooth transit and compliance with customs regulations.
• Local Haulage: Managing the transportation of containers from port to DC / DSV Yard, involving coordination of trucking and logistics operations to ensure goods are moved from one location to another as per request.
• Communication with Customer and stakeholders for day-to-day shipments.
• Follow up with permit, coordinate with warehouses ops on container load planning.
• Use CW1 for creating shipments and generating reports.
• Adherence to customer specific SOPs.
• Adherence to Global standard processes /procedures and to Corporate Standard & Governance policies
• Any other job-related tasks as assigned by the superior.
• Adherence to the Code of Conduct policy of the DSV Group

Competencies

• Familiarity with the freight customer service role, including enquiry handling, orders, execution, escalations, etc.
• Familiarity in freight operations from the shipper, forwarder, and carrier perspective
• Effective written & spoken English; additional SE Asian language competency and cultural familiarity is a plus

Experience & Education

• Diploma/Degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering, or other related discipline
• At least 2 years in freight forwarding operations
