Lead and supervise daily production activities within a technical repair and manufacturing environment to ensure quality, productivity, and on-time delivery targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
- Supervise daily production operations involving electronic repair, testing, mechanical assembly, and manufacturing activities.
- Lead, coach, and deploy production operators to meet production schedules, quality requirements, and operational targets.
- Monitor work-in-progress (WIP), production output, and manpower allocation to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of customer orders.
- Ensure all repair and assembly processes are performed in accordance with approved work instructions, engineering specifications, and quality standards.
- Investigate and troubleshoot production issues, escalating technical concerns where necessary to minimise downtime and disruptions.
- Monitor and drive adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, yield, cycle time, and defect rates.
- Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions for quality and process-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements, ESD controls, quality standards, and operational procedures.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and other cross-functional teams to resolve operational challenges and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare production reports and provide updates on operational performance, staffing requirements, and improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- Diploma or NITEC in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Approximately 3 years of supervisory experience in electronics manufacturing, technical repair operations, or mechanical assembly line environments.
- Hands-on experience in electronic manufacturing, product repair, testing, troubleshooting, or mechanical assembly processes.
- Proven experience leading production teams and coordinating daily manufacturing activities.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and production control principles.
- Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of ESD requirements, lean manufacturing concepts, and continuous improvement methodologies will be advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
