We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Logistics Operator to join our team in Immingham. You will be coordinating road freight movements through UK ports for a base of long-term, valued customers.

What will you be doing?

• Coordinating road shipment movements via UK ports, both imports and exports.  
• Acting as the key point of contact for an established portfolio of long-term customers, delivering a reliable and responsive service.  
• Making freight bookings, and raising, checking and approving freight charges and costs accurately.  
• Liaising with carriers, shipping lines and port contacts to ensure smooth, on-time movements.  
• Providing out-of-hours cover in alignment with ferry sailing times.  
• Contributing to process improvements — we welcome fresh eyes and better ways of doing things.  
• Assisting with other teams as and when needed.  
  
  

About You

• Experience in a customer-facing and/or coordination role — logistics background is a plus.  
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously.
• Enthusiastic, proactive and keen to take ownership.  
• Strong communicator, confident dealing with customers and suppliers by phone and email.  
• Use initiative to proactively solve problems.  
• Good attention to detail, especially around accurate booking entry, charges and cost approvals.  
• A knowledge of customs procedures would be beneficial.  
• Happy with providing out-of-hours support.
