Haulage Traffic Planner 

Immingham

Monday-Friday

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Haulage Transport Planner based at Immingham.

Reporting to the Transport Manager and working within a team of 5 Haulage planners, your role will include planning and coordinating a fleet of owned and sub-contractor vehicles, allocating deliveries and collections in accordance with customer instructions

What will you be doing?

• Communicating with drivers and internal departments to ensure that systems are updated and any delays / problems are communicated promptly.
• Planning to ensure all drivers operate in accordance with driving hours and Working Time Directive rules and regulations.
• Ensure company TMS system is always kept up to date.
• Working within a wider central planning / customer service team and reacting to changes when required.
• Screen incoming telephone calls and e-mails from hauliers and colleagues - respond promptly as necessary. 

About You

• Haulage / Transport planning experience
• Experience with TMS systems – full training will be provided.
• Knowledge of Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive rules and regulations
• Good geographical knowledge of UK areas / Postcodes
• Proficient in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Ability to work under pressure within a fast paced team environment.
• Can do attitude – Team work ethic required.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with colleagues, drivers and customers.
