Position Summary 

The Manager, VAD Driver Operation Road Transport is responsible for overseeing daily operational performance across multiple customer sites throughout the United States. This role ensures operational excellence by monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), maintaining compliance with safety and service standards, and providing direct support to site-level teams. The position requires strong leadership, the ability to manage distributed teams, and a commitment to continuous improvement

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide daily operational support and oversight for multiple customer accounts across various sites. 

  • Supervise and support site-level employees and managers located across different regions. 

  • Conduct on-site visits as required to assess performance, ensure compliance, and build customer relationships. 

  • Conduct audits on KPI metrics to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance. 

  • Monitor each site’s performance and ensure adherence to operational, safety, service, and compliance standards. 

  • Identify performance gaps and partner with leadership on corrective actions and improvement initiatives. 

  • Lead or participate in daily and weekly operational meetings with internal teams and customers. 

  • Communicate performance updates, trends, and improvement opportunities to leadership and customers as needed. 

  • Travel regularly across the U.S. for site visits, audits, and customer meetings. 

  • Operate in a hybrid environment, balancing remote work with required travel.

Education & Experience Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred. 

  • 3–5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, transportation, or warehouse management. 

  • Experience managing distributed or multi-site teams is strongly preferred. 

  • Proficiency in performance metrics, auditing, and customer reporting. 

  • Experience working in a hybrid/remote environment. 

 

Physical Demands 

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods during site visits, meetings, and facility tours. 
  • Ability to occasionally lift, move, or carry items up to 25 pounds, such as files, inspection equipment, or materials used during audits. 

  • Ability to navigate warehouse, transportation, and logistics environments, which may include walking on uneven surfaces, climbing stairs, and exposure to varying temperatures. 

  • Ability to spend significant time working on a computer, participating in virtual meetings, and reviewing reports. 

  • Ability to travel frequently by car, plane, or other transportation methods, which may involve long periods of sitting. 

  • Ability to visually inspect equipment, documents, and work areas to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. 

  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through electronic means. 

 

Working Conditions 

      The working conditions described below represent the typical environment associated with this role: 

  • This position operates in a hybrid work environment, involving both remote work and onsite presence at customer or company locations. 

  • Work may occur in office settings, warehouse environments, logistics hubs, or transportation yards, depending on site needs. 

  • During onsite visits, the employee may be exposed to:  

  • moving vehicles, forklifts, and heavy equipment, 

  • varying temperatures or seasonal weather conditions, 

  • moderate noise levels commonly found in warehouses or distribution centers. 

  • The role requires frequent travel, which may include air travel, longdistance driving, overnight stays. 

  • Work hours may vary based on operational requirements and may occasionally include early mornings, evenings, or weekends to support site activities or customer needs. 

  • The position requires the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fastpaced logistics and operations environment. 

 

For this position, the expected base pay range is $80,000- $95,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education or certifications, and geographic location, consistent with applicable laws and company policy.
