We are looking for a Sea Freight Operator to join our team in Thessalonki and play a key role in the smooth and efficient execution of our customers’ sea freight shipments.

You will be dealing with all aspects of our sea services – tracking shipments, dealing with shipping companies & customers, organizing collection of goods, invoicing & working with a team!

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the day-to-day operational activities of sea freight shipments.
• Coordinating bookings and monitoring shipments from origin to destination.
• Ensuring that customers’ freight is delivered on time and according to agreed requirements.
• Maintaining regular communication with customers, providing updates on shipment status and proactively managing any delays or issues.
• Liaising with DSV overseas offices and international teams to ensure smooth shipment coordination.
• Coordinating with shipping lines, carriers and other relevant partners.
• Arranging collections and deliveries in cooperation with customers and carriers.
• Preparing and handling import/export documentation accurately and within deadlines.
• Ensuring accurate and timely customer invoicing.
• Identifying operational challenges and proactively seeking solutions.
• Developing a strong understanding of the overall department process flow and continuously looking for opportunities to improve efficiency and customer experience.
• Working towards agreed KPIs and operational targets, supporting the goals of the team, branch, product and company

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 3 years of proven experience in Sea Freight Operations and Documentation.
• Good knowledge of sea freight processes, import/export procedures and shipping documentation.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Very good command of Business English, both written and spoken.
• Good knowledge of MS Office.
• Customer-oriented mindset and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive approach, with a strong desire to learn and continuously improve.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and accountability.
