Move forward as Warehouse Manager at DSV in Tholen
Are you an experienced warehouse manager who enjoys leading a high-performing 3PL logistics operation? Then we have an exciting opportunity for a logistics professional who takes ownership, inspires teams, and drives operational excellence. You will work day shifts and have the freedom to make a real impact on the business. Sounds like your next challenge? Join us at DSV in Tholen.
You get it done
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the daily warehouse operations for one of our largest customers, including inbound, storage, outbound, and value-added services. You will work closely with various departments to drive continuous improvement across the operation: You’re on it.
How you do this? We are looking for a warehouse manager who looks beyond the daily planning. Someone who understands that a successful operation starts with engaged employees, well-defined processes, and strong collaboration. You are a hands-on logistics leader who enjoys taking ownership. As an experienced warehouse manager, you ensure that the operation runs smoothly. From planning and process optimization to team development and continuous improvement initiatives, you make a real impact by inspiring your team and identifying smarter ways of working. You achieve this by:
- preparing and presenting management information based on agreed targets and KPIs;
- ensuring the uninterrupted flow of logistics operations, including planning, inbound, quality control, storage, order picking, value-added services, and outbound activities, while meeting all operational and customer requirements. You identify deviations, discuss them with the two Supervisors, six Team Leads, and supporting departments, and facilitate constructive meetings focused on effective solutions;
- forecasting workload based on the customer's daily, weekly, and monthly demand, and ensuring the operation is adequately staffed. In this, you work closely with the resource planner;
- initiating and implementing improvements to both physical and administrative logistics processes, providing input to the operations manager, and participating in projects aimed at optimizing operational performance;
- coaching and developing employees, leading team meetings, and managing HR-related matters such as performance reviews, absence management, and employee development plans;
- ensuring the safe use of machinery, equipment, warehouse vehicles, and the proper handling of goods in line with safety regulations.
Your team stands out within DSV by the commitment and drive of every colleague. Together, you ensure that all logistics processes run efficiently and smoothly. The work environment is open, professional, and dynamic, with plenty of room for personal growth and development.
