DSV Air & Sea  is seeking to hire a skilled and passionate Senior Team Lead, Import Sea in Melbourne.

As the Senior Team Lead, the individual will provide support and guidance to team members while managing the department's KPIs and assisting the  Sea Freight Manager as needed. The Senior Team Lead will ensure efficient operations, allocate workloads, and maintain a high level of departmental productivity. They will serve as the primary point of contact for staff and the first escalation point within the Import Sea Team for the broader business.

Your typical day at DSV:

• Oversee the Import Sea team to ensure KPIs and global targets are met while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
• Monitor profitability of consignments and ensure workflows align with SOPs, customer instructions, and management directives.
• Lead and support the team, resolve import-related issues, and implement process improvements.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and service providers locally and internationally.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction and assist the Sea Freight Manager with daily activities and projects.

About you:

• Strong leadership skills with experience in decision-making, motivating teams, and resolving conflicts under pressure.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and meeting deadlines.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Import Sea operations and at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proficient in Cargowise One and Microsoft Office; able to follow procedures and maintain high-quality standards.
• Resilient, adaptable, and capable of managing complex issues while fostering collaboration across teams.
