Summary
A Freight Forwarder is responsible for managing and coordinating the exportation of goods by air, including all necessary documentation, scheduling, and communication with customers and third-party service providers. This role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication skills to manage relationships with customers and ensure their satisfaction. This is a full-time position scheduled to work four 10-hour shifts each week, Friday through Monday, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate the importation and exportation of goods by air, including scheduling with airlines and managing the movement of goods through various transportation channels
- Prepare and process required documentation for customs clearance, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading
- Track and monitor shipments, providing regular updates to customers on the status of their shipments
- Manage relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise
- Collaborate with other internal departments, such as logistics, finance, and operations, to ensure timely and efficient service delivery
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade laws
- All other duties as assigned.
Educational background / Work experience
- Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferred
- Experience in Freight Forwarding is highly desirable

- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and rates

- Fluency in English is required
- Knowledge of additional languages is a plus
Computer Literacy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with logistics software and systems is preferred

For this position, the expected base pay range is $44,772 - $55,965 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
