Move forward as Account Manager at DSV in Venlo or Maastricht
Become the central link between our customers and DSV and play a key role in achieving commercial objectives. You understand the needs of our customers at both operational and strategic levels, translate these into concrete solutions, and proactively advise on growth opportunities. You actively monitor market developments and competitor activities, enabling you to capitalise on opportunities for DSV and provide optimal advice to clients.

At this site, you work closely with customers and internal teams, where every project has a direct impact on revenue growth and customer satisfaction: you’re on it.
How you do this? You are responsible for managing and developing our customer portfolio. You understand customer needs at both operational and strategic levels and translate these into concrete solutions and advice. You proactively identify commercial opportunities and market developments and ensure these are followed up, from quotation through to implementation, continuously driving revenue growth and customer satisfaction. In addition, you take the initiative in leading and delivering (customer) projects, taking responsibility for coordination, progress, and the successful implementation of improvements and new solutions.
You coordinate internal processes, monitor commitments, and deliver structured reporting and meetings such as MBRs, QBRs, and ABRs. You ensure the quality, accuracy, and completeness of CRM data and management information. Furthermore, you build long-term relationships, maintain strong customer goodwill, and act as a sparring partner between the customer and the organisation. You play an active role in escalations, complaints, and representing DSV at key customer meetings and events. You also take ownership of (complex) projects and improvement initiatives, managing stakeholders and ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. In doing so, you contribute to both the commercial and strategic objectives of DSV and ensure that customers experience us as a reliable and proactive partner. You achieve this by:
- building and maintaining strong customer relationships and translating their needs into concrete solutions at both functional and operational levels;
- proactively identifying commercial opportunities, market developments, and synergies within DSV and acting on them;
- acting as a connecting link between the customer and the organisation in improvement projects, escalations, or complex issues;
- developing and executing account plans, including long-term planning and leveraging internal synergies across locations, departments, and divisions;
- actively contributing to policy, innovation, and optimisation within the department and the organisation.

You bring
- a bachelor’s or master’s degree and at least 4 years of commercial experience in a logistics service provider;
- excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written;
- strong commercial insight and the ability to translate customer needs into solutions at both strategic and operational levels;
- experience in account management, including developing and executing account plans, identifying commercial opportunities, and leveraging long-term strategies;
- experience in independently managing projects and leading stakeholders within complex organisation;
- collaboration skills, influencing ability, and strategic-conceptual thinking to align internal teams and customers with shared objectives.
