Move forward as Business Development Manager at DSV

Will you soon be working as a business development manager? In which you use a consultative selling approach to deal with long sales processes within DSV's contract logistics? With your extensive experience, network and proactive attitude, you will start a relationship with a customer and develop it into a long-term relationship.

 

You get it done

Bringing in new business for DSV's various warehouse locations in the Netherlands and building on it to the maximum; you will work on it.

 

How you do this? You are a full discussion partner for potential customers in the Netherlands in the field of contract logistics. You proactively sit at the table with potential new customers, which you 'hunt' and approach yourself. You are the person who approaches the supply chain contacts of international brands. Using your own network, you offer prospects the possibilities of DSV locations in the Netherlands. You are responsible from A to Z; from making the first contact to closing the deal. You are also reactive with, for example, tender invitations. You ensure that these are converted with the right solution and budgets, but also how we as DSV can offer the best it infrastructure, mechanisation and sustainability to the future customer.

 

You get this done by:

  • initiating and following up structural strategic discussions;
  • structuring, calculating and securing additional or different activities from 'your' customers up to and including the 1st review meeting;
  • negotiating contract terms, recording the agreements and subsequent operational implementation.

 

Your team stands out within DSV by his flexibility. From a location of your own choosing in the Netherlands, you will work closely with the rest of your team (business development, engineers, operations and sales support). Your goal is to go for long-term relationships and long-term contracts.

You bring

•    extensive business development or sales experience in contract logistics at logistics service providers; 

•    preferably engineering skills in the field of supply chain;

•    the ability to speak and write well in Dutch and English with customers and internal stakeholders.
