Move forward as Facility Assistant at DSV in Venlo

Are you someone who enjoys hands-on work and gets satisfaction from a workday filled with variety, technical tasks, and independence? Then this is your moment. You will have the opportunity to manage our logistics buildings with automation in Venlo from A to Z from a technical perspective.

In this role, you are responsible for resolving technical malfunctions – from repairing a door to testing a sprinkler installation. You get the unique chance to help build an optimally functioning facilities environment: you’re on it.

How you do this? Through our facilities system TopDesk, you will handle daily issues. You will independently solve malfunctions, process technical reports, and carry out small to medium-sized maintenance tasks. You replace locks, repair fixtures, check installations, and call-in external partners for larger jobs. All of this with a focus on safety and quality. You achieve this by:

• independently resolving malfunctions and performing technical maintenance;
• identifying technical or facility-related bottlenecks and proposing solutions;
• coordinating external contractors and supervising the execution of their work;
• setting up and maintaining technical and facility-related resources in both buildings.

Your team within DSV stands out thanks to the strong collaboration. You will be part of a dynamic, close-knit team at the Venlo location, while also working with facility colleagues at other sites and departments such as QHSE, security, and procurement.

You bring

• experience in technical or facility-related work, for example as a technician, caretaker, or technical service employee;
• practical mindset and the ability to work independently as well as in a team;
• driver’s license (B) and willingness to participate in on-call duties;
• valid VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one through DSV;
• good command of the Dutch language; basic English skills are an advantage.
