Do you want to take ownership of our new way of working in global tender solutions and pricing, while managing a team of experts within a global team in one of the largest freight forward companies in the world? 

We seek a Head of Transport Solutions and Tender Pricing to make an immediate impact in our fast-paced and growth-focused Road Division. DSV Road is dedicated to delivering full loads, part loads and groupage shipments in Europe, North America, South Africa and some Middle East countries.

Focus is on growing our Groupage volumes through our Europe covering network of distribution terminals. DSV Road is at a turning point and has an ambition of becoming the most digitalized groupage provider. 

As our new Head of Transport Solutions and Tender Pricing, you will join our Global Business Development team in a role with focus on Europe. As part of this team, you will collaborate with Global BD managers, country tender teams and country operations.

Preferred location of work is Venlo, Netherlands. Alternative location can be considered, ideally also in driving distance, as regular presence in Venlo is a necessity. You will be reporting to the CCO of the DSV Road division, situated in The Netherlands.

Your most important tasks

• Run the tender support processes for Global Business Development team in tender response
• Manage an international team of Business Analysts and Transport Engineers
• Actively develop tools & processes used, in line with strategic direction of Road division
• Manage community of country tender management teams, who are part of end-to-end process
• Enhance rate intelligence based on customer / market feedback.

Your qualifications to succeed

• BSc, MSc or similar in a related area with 10+ years work experience 
• Senior experience in road transport, both in operational basics, costs and pricing elements.
• Good analytics skills in order to plan, execute and optimize processes and projects 
• Excellent written and oral English language skills (DSV corporate language)
• Super-user in Microsoft Office
