For our fast-growing divisions DSV Road and Air & Sea, based in Venlo, we are looking for an

MBO Trainee

What does your year as a Trainee look like?

During your first month as MBO Trainee, you will experience the diversity of DSV. You will get to know the different departments, but you will also visit other locations and our own equipment centre. You will get to know your colleagues from the daily operations to the Managing Director. In your second month you start in one department, such as planning Eastern Europe, after which you change departments/modality after a period of several months. We make a schedule in advance so that you know where and when you will be working. 


As an MBO Trainee, you will be supervised by a Managing Director / Branch Manager, an HR Business Partner and a permanent buddy throughout the traineeship. Once a month you will evaluate and discuss the traineeship with each other.  


Once every two months you will meet (at a different location) with the three other MBO Trainees (from Eindhoven, Schiphol and Dordrecht) and exchange your experiences but also share information on current topics.


Are you the MBO starter that DSV is looking for and do you want to work in a unique job, where you get to know DSV and all its activities (various destinations in road transport, administration and sales)? For Venlo, we are looking for an enterprising, communicatively adept and enthusiastic starter, who wants to work with energy as an MBO Trainee. Will you be our new DSV colleague?


Your year will be as follows;

Proactively working in different departments at DSV in Venlo (and Maastricht), such as;
Road transport, sea freight, sales, customs, warehousing and administration

Maintaining contact with international customers and colleagues
In cooperation with other Trainees, make improvement proposals and discuss them periodically
Wanting to be part of the teams and working with own initiative and curiosity

What do we ask?

We are always looking for people who want to make a difference and add value to our organisation. The qualities we value are: commitment, responsibility, ownership. We also consider the following points to be important for the position:

Finished logistics MBO education (level 4)
Good command of Dutch and English in word and writing;
You are a real team player, but you can also work independently;
Want to work proactively where own initiative and creative ideas are appreciated;
Fulltime available and in possession of drivers license B.
