Move forward as Senior Site Manager at DSV in Venlo

How you do this? As senior site manager, you combine operational leadership with strategic insight. You oversee the entire operation across both locations and ensure that people, processes and technology work together effectively. With your vision and experience, you ensure that the operation can scale flexibly in line with the ambitions of our customers and DSV. You will also play an important role in further developing our automated warehouses, including AutoStore and Exotec. You are able to translate the potential of automation into tangible improvements in performance, quality, capacity and efficiency.

At the same time, you are visible and approachable on the shop floor. You provide direction, develop people and build a culture in which ownership and continuous improvement are second nature. As an equal and trusted business partner to customers and internal stakeholders, you move effortlessly between operational, tactical and strategic issues. You translate customer expectations and growth ambitions into scalable solutions and ensure alignment between operations, IT, automation, commercial teams and business objectives.

You will also be responsible for the financial results and KPIs of both sites. You drive performance, workforce management, safety, quality and customer satisfaction, using data to support decision-making and drive continuous improvement. You achieve this by:

• delivering an efficient and future-proof operation in which KPIs, quality, safety and the customer promise are at the heart of everything we do;
• managing growth and changing customer needs by developing flexible and scalable solutions;
• making optimal use of and further developing automation, including AutoStore and Exotec, to improve capacity, efficiency and performance;
• building strong customer relationships and actively contributing to commercial and contractual development;
• developing an agile and strong management team and workforce, with responsibility, collaboration and initiative at their core;
• connecting people, processes and technology and creating one clear direction across both locations.

You bring

• demonstrable experience managing large-scale logistics operations, preferably within a 3PL environment and an automated warehouse;
• strategic, commercial and analytical thinking, enabling you to understand complex processes and help organisations scale sustainably for the future;
• experience with, or a strong affinity for, warehouse automation; knowledge of AutoStore and/or Exotec is highly desirable;
• strong leadership skills: you know how to connect and develop people and empower them to take responsibility, even in an environment of significant change;
• excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, allowing you to communicate easily with employees, management and international customers.
