As supervisor transport solutions, you are responsible for the daily leadership and development of a team of 5 colleagues. Your team delivers efficient, reliable and cost-conscious transport solutions for our customers within Contract Logistics. You create overview, set priorities and ensure customer agreements, carrier performance and operational processes are aligned: you’re on it.

How you do this? You combine operational leadership with stakeholder management and continuous improvement. You monitor transport performance, resolve escalations and act as an important link between customers, carriers, warehouse operations, account management and management. You create clear ways of working, develop your team and take initiative to make processes smarter, more consistent and future-ready. You achieve this by:

• leading and developing a team of 5 direct reports, including coaching, capacity planning, performance conversations and stimulating ownership;
• safeguarding daily operations by monitoring transport activities, setting priorities and resolving escalations in a timely and professional way;
• connecting customers, carriers and internal stakeholders so service levels, costs, quality and operational feasibility remain continuously balanced;
• improving processes and data-driven ways of working by analysing transport data, identifying improvement opportunities and implementing best practices within Transport Solutions.

Your team stands out within DSV through its combination of transport expertise, customer focus and ownership. Together, you ensure a reliable transport operation, maximum visibility on performance and a strong foundation for further growth of Transport Solutions within Contract Logistics.

You bring

• a bachelor level of working and thinking, preferably in logistics, supply chain, business administration or a similar field;
• at least 5 years of experience in transport, freight, distribution or supply chain, preferably within a logistics service provider;
• experience leading, coaching or coordinating a team in an operational environment;
• strong communication skills and the ability to connect customers, carriers and internal stakeholders effectively;
• analytical skills, result orientation and experience with KPIs, reporting and process improvement;
• excellent command of Dutch and English.
