The IT Crisis & Resilience Manager is responsible for safeguarding the resilience and continuity of the Global IT organization and its critical operations. The role owns the development, governance, and continuous enhancement of IT operational resilience, ensuring that critical IT functions remain available and effective during and after disruptive IT events.
The primary focus is on situation monitoring and assessment, resilience governance, maturity management, as well as training, awareness, and change initiatives - directly strengthening decision‑making quality and leadership confidence before and during crisis situations.
Your responsibilities
- Own and steer global initiatives to enhance and sustain IT resilience and continuity across the Global IT organization and its critical IT services and assets
- Orchestrate and align key management disciplines under shared IT resilience goals
- Maintain and continuously evolve forward‑looking situation monitoring and assessment, incorporating internal and external signals, megatrends, and strategic risks into scenarios, exercises, and decision‑making
- Design and deliver IT resilience training, awareness programs, and exercises, including lessons learned and structured change management activities
- Own and drive the continuous improvement of IT crisis and resilience capabilities, leveraging maturity assessments, lessons learned from exercises and real incidents, and evolving risk factors to systematically enhance governance, processes, and organizational preparedness
- Ensure IT business continuity requirements are effectively implemented across IT services and operations
- Actively support the IT Crisis Management Lead during IT crisis response situations
Our requirements
- University degree in natural sciences, computer science, business, or equivalent education
- Extensive experience in crisis management, IT operational resilience, and risk management within complex or global environments
- Strong practical expertise in applying recognized international standards and frameworks to build effective, usable crisis and resilience capabilities
- Ability to adapt and apply frameworks pragmatically to organizational and business contexts
- Strong stakeholder, communication, and change management capabilities, with proven experience influencing leaders, aligning cross‑functional stakeholders, and driving sustainable change in complex, global IT environments
- Solid background in Business Process Management (analysis, optimization, and implementation)
- Sound knowledge of IT risk management, with a focus on identifying, assessing, and mitigating IT‑related risks
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to understand complex organizational and process landscapes
- Ability to work independently while navigating a matrix‑based, international environment
- Strong continuous‑improvement mindset with a focus on process quality and operational excellence
- Proven experience working in an agile, outcome‑driven environment, applying Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and iterative planning cycles to steer priorities, measure progress, and continuously adapt resilience and governance initiatives
