The role:
Responsible for support and operations of application services (2nd Level Support) and supporting the application maintenance. The Application Support Specialist delivers the service for the IT service management processes, i.e. ensuring the smooth operation of the application. The tasks are typically investigation and resolution of issues and may also include performance monitoring and configuration of software parameters.
Your responsibilities:
- Identifies and resolves issues with applications, following agreed procedures
- Uses application management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistics
- Carries out agreed applications maintenance tasks
- “Go Live" “Hypercare” support after introduction of new solutions
- Supporting the processing of service requests
- Configuration of software parameters to meet business requirements by using the existing data
- Handling of incidents and problems and assignment and escalate to 3rd level support
- Application monitoring by using agreed performance monitoring tools, ensuring that application performs in an expected manner and scope
- Carries out agreed tasks related to the services
Our requirements:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Logistics, Business Informatics, Computer Science, or related disciplines
- Experience with ITIL incident/problem handling as a plus
- Preferable in the logistics environment
- Experience identifying incidents or potential issues
- Understanding of business and IT processes
- Customer service experience
- Self-initiative, detailed-oriented with excellent analytical skills
- Flexible thinker able to operate in a changing environment
- Good communication skills
- Fluent Business English (written and spoken)
