We are looking for a Manager to build and lead a team that removes friction from application development, supports engineering teams, and drives adoption of modern platforms, automation, self-service capabilities, and AI-driven engineering practices.

In this role, you will join Automation & Orchestration within Digital Enablement, Enterprise Operations & Services (EOS), Global IT. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and product teams to improve developer workflows and enable engineering excellence at enterprise scale.

About the Team

As Manager of the Developer Experience (DevEx) team, you will lead a global team that helps engineering teams build and deliver applications in a simpler, faster, and more consistent way. Your team will support the adoption of enterprise DevOps tools, improve developer workflows, create reusable automation, and help product teams use modern engineering practices, Internal Developer Platform capabilities, and AI-powered engineering solutions. The team also acts as a travelling engineering enablement team, working directly with Product Teams when hands-on support, coaching, or platform adoption assistance can bring additional value.

About the Role

You will provide technical leadership, develop your team, and define the strategic direction for DevEx. Your focus will be to make application development easier for engineering teams and to ensure that DevEx solutions create measurable value across the organisation. You will collaborate with engineering leaders and stakeholders to understand their challenges, prioritise improvements, and promote modern engineering standards, automation, self-service capabilities, and AI-driven engineering practices.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the global DevEx team
• Define and drive the DevEx strategy and roadmap
• Improve developer productivity through automation, standards, reusable patterns, and self-service solutions
• Support Product Teams with hands-on enablement, coaching, and platform adoption
• Collaborate with DevOps, Platform Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, and Product Teams to improve engineering workflows
• Explore new engineering technologies, including AI-assisted development, Agentic AI, AIOps, and intelligent automation

Requirements:

• We are looking for an experienced engineering leader who combines strong technical understanding with the ability to lead people, build trust, and work effectively with stakeholders.
• You care about making development simpler, more efficient, and better supported across teams.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field
• 5+ years of leadership experience in engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, Developer Experience, or developer enablement
• Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, automation, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud-native technologies
• Experience with engineering platforms and tools such as GitHub Enterprise, Bitbucket, Jenkins, CloudBees, JFrog Artifactory, SonarQube, Jira, or Confluence
• Understanding of Platform Engineering, Internal Developer Platforms, DevSecOps, and engineering governance
• Awareness of AI-driven engineering practices, including AI-assisted development, Agentic AI, and AIOps
• Fluent English, both spoken and written
