You will join the Master Data Technology team, part of Finance IT, Group & Enterprise Applications in Global IT. As an SAP MDG Functional Consultant, you will be part of the IT Project Delivery team, working closely with business stakeholders and IT colleagues to deliver, implement, and improve SAP MDG solutions. You will play an important role in shaping efficient master data processes and delivering solutions that create value across DSV.
What you'll do:
- Provide SAP MDG solution recommendations, considering business requirements, scope, and DSV standards, and take responsibility for functional design and configuration
- Work with business stakeholders and IT colleagues to gather requirements, assess impacts and gaps, and translate business needs into effective SAP MDG solutions
- Design, configure, and enhance SAP MDG data models, validations, workflows, and change request processes based on business requirements
- Work with developers and other SAP professionals to define and deliver integrations, extensions, CDS views and OData services that enable effective master data distribution and consumption
- Plan and execute testing, including unit, integration, functional testing, and support the successful rollout of solutions
- Prepare functional and technical documentation, present solution concepts to stakeholders, and support knowledge transfer and training
- Provide functional support and troubleshooting for SAP MDG solutions, identify opportunities for improvement, and continuously enhance the stability, efficiency, and quality of master data processes
- Apply problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to deliver scalable solutions to complex business and technical challenges across DSV
What we're looking for:
- Strong experience with SAP MDG, including data modeling, process modeling, workflows, BRF+, and Fiori applications
- Solid understanding of master data governance principles, including data quality, validation, harmonization, and replication
- Experience in designing and implementing SAP MDG solutions for advanced scenarios such as hierarchy management, mass data changes, and process automation
- Hands-on experience with SAP MDG implementations, particularly in Data Modeling, User Interfaces, and Process Modeling
- Experience with SAP MDG on S/4HANA on premises. Experience with SAP MDG Cloud is an advantage
- Ability to adapt to evolving SAP technologies and contribute to the continuous development of DSV’s master data solutions
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective SAP MDG solutions
- Good interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication
- Able to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks while being a strong team player
- Proactive and structured, with the ability to drive tasks and solutions forward through effective communication and collaboration
- Ability to collaborate effectively with international and remote stakeholders across different teams and locations
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, demonstrating flexibility when handling multiple tasks and priorities
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to changing business needs, technologies, and deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured and solution-oriented approach to complex business and technical challenges
