Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead data-driven analyses to inform business decisions and optimize processes
• Train and fine-tune large language models (LLMs) and other generative AI models, applying the latest techniques in deep learning
• Mentor and support junior data scientists, including code reviews, providing guidance on implementation strategies, and sparring to help them solve complex challenges
• Present data analysis findings, model performance KPI’s, and AI insights to key stakeholders across the business
• Influence AI strategy by participating in decision-making processes around AI adoption and best practices
• Collaborate closely with product teams to ensure AI solutions are sufficiently monitored, maintained, and optimized for performance, availability, and accuracy

Our requirements:

• Extensive experience with NLP and some experience in document extraction including working with unstructured text and image data
• High Proficiency in Python and experience working with common ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
• Strong expertise in general machine learning and deep learning techniques, particularly in large-scale environments
• At least some hands-on experience with LLMs and familiarity with generative AI models
• Experience in the deployment of ML models for large-scale production applications and some familiarity with common MLOps challenges
• Familiarity with source control (GIT) and other version management systems
• Highly detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing complex projects and meeting deadlines

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Kedro for data and ML pipeline management
• Knowledge of the logistics/shipping industry and related AI challenges
• Familiarity with Java and general software development principles
• Experience with Google Vertex AI / GCP, Kubernetes, and Azure DevOps
• Skills in prompt engineering for generative AI
