Purpose of the job:

The Senior IT Developer is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting software applications across both cloud-based and legacy technology platforms. The role ensures that business applications are secure, scalable, reliable, and aligned with business requirements while supporting the organization's digital transformation initiatives and maintaining critical legacy systems. The developer collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions throughout the software development lifecycle.

 

Responsibility/ Tasks:

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications using cloud and legacy technologies
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Develop scalable cloud-native applications, APIs, and microservices
  • Maintain and enhance existing legacy applications to ensure business continuity
  • Participate in application modernization and cloud migration projects
  • Perform unit testing and support integration, system, and user acceptance testing
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues in development and production environments
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and security
  • Collaborate with Solution Managers, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and Infrastructure teams
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and operational procedures
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
  • Continuously evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to existing solutions

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in software development
  • Strong programming experience in one or more languages, especially Java
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS
  • Knowledge of cloud-native development, containers (Docker), Kubernetes, and microservices architecture
  • Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and API development
  • Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or other version control and CI/CD tools
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum software development methodologies
  • Knowledge of secure software development practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent programming and debugging capabilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to software quality
  • Adaptability to both modern cloud technologies and legacy application environments
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Continuous learning mindset and willingness to adopt emerging technologies
  • Results-oriented with a proactive approach to problem solving
