The BRM role will position itself as a Subject Matter Expert in the IT solutions used for one of DSV’s premier accounts based in Wayne, NJ.    The IT solutions in scope, span but are not limited to, WMS, EDI, TMS to include a state-of-the-art warehouse automation build.     Using your fluency in in how these systems work coupled with a firm understanding of the operational processes behind them, you will interact across the DSV hierarchy to include customer engagement answering questions and supporting the operation as needed.    This engagement is positioned as a buffer between the business and DSV IT that provides an intake for questions and IT requests, but also an output by the BRM of status’s related to incidents and various projects.  This is a dynamic role that is focused on forging and maintaining strong relationships across internal and external customer base. 

Although this role will not have direct reports, it is expected that the BRM provides some oversight and leadership to the small IT organization that based in Wayne (between 2 and 4).       




  • Understand with a high degree of fluency the IT solution that has been implemented to include the business processes behind them.     
  • Communication:
    • Have a strong ability to convey complex concepts in a simple easy to understand way
    • Craft customer facing documents that are clear, easy to understand and well balanced in terms of content.
    • Skills and techniques when delivering bad information to limit exposure, but while also acting in a transparent way.
    • Tuned collaboration and communication across the DSV hierarchy and the team you represent.


  • Forge strong relationships with internal and external partners providing a clean face to DSV clients and the source for information related to IT systems and changes.
  • Manage and provide details on high visibility outages using established procedures that align to DSV processes.
  • Ability to logically deduce incident events to identify potential problem area(s)
  • Liaison with business partners and vendors to resolve their IT related issues, problems, and requests
  • Craft requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely
  • Own, and manage to completion, minor modifications (small projects) to applications and/or infrastructure as requested by clients or the business.
  • Understand and manage expectations with business entities observing department protocols
  • Champion improvement efforts guiding team members and cross team efforts to an improved offering
  • Ability to work under tense situations while managing expectations
  • Work with users, when applicable, to identify possible workarounds to provide immediate resolution in concert while the researched/worked




  • Analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements
  • Listening skills, understand what information is said, what is not said and what team member might be reluctant to say
  • Speaking and Writing, effectively to internal customers, team members and management.
  • Interpersonal skills, to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders (such as customers, product management, and engineering)
  • Organizational skills, to work with the vast array of information gathered during elicitation and analysis and to cope with rapidly changing information
  • Solid understanding of IT concepts and methodologies used in DSV.
  • Demonstrated fluency in IT Troubleshooting; systems analysis, troubleshooting hardware related issues and software related issues to include permissions and database issues.
  • Dependability and reliability, ability to be consistent in actions and to be a productive member in a team environment.

Computer Skills

Strong proficiency in basic MS Office applications is required


Language Skills

English (reading, writing, and verbal)


Mathematical Skills





Work is generally sedentary, with no specific need for physical coordination or effort.  May require physical effort associated with using the computer to access information, or occasional standing, walking, lifting needed to carry out everyday activities.  Hours can be extensive as well as occasionally staggered for multi-shift access.
