Quality Control Specialist

The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for supporting the site Quality Assurance Manager. The primary focus is on  procedure development, procedure validation, documentation records, documentation reporting, use of problem-solving tools, basic quality auditing supporting the Port Reading NJ operation.  


Based on the direction of the site Quality Assurance Manager, the QC Specialist will:

  • Implement the DSV North America Quality Management System structure at the site level.
  • Ensure Quality Control is maintained throughout the operation which includes maintaining standards and specifications through the site.
  • Directly interact with operational leaders and associates to ensure the quality system is implemented
  • Act as the designated site Document Control Administrator to maintain the Document, Data and Records system including the site Document Master Log, Change Control system and Document location control.
  • Support and perform problem-solving including the use of quality tools such as a why-why diagrams, fishbone, checklists, control charts and other critical quality tools
  • Assist with the development of corrective actions to respond to client complaints, nonconformances (internal and external) and audits as prescribed.
  • Assist with documentation required to support the Supplier Management system for vendors supporting the operation
  • Assist with producing Quality related reports to site management including graphs, charts
  • Support the creation and maintenance of visual aids supporting the operation
  • Assist with quality-oriented training supporting the operation including coordinating with site HR to record training


OTHER DUTIES:  Performs other duties as required by site management to support quality management and quality control.


REPORTS TO:  Wayne Site Quality Manager



  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Experience with developing and maintaining documentation to support process development and problem-solving capability.



  • Employee must possess excellent computer skills, but not limited to MS Office, Windows, or Visio.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)-reading, writing, and verbal.
  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Experience with Quality Management System.



The employee will use a computer and standard communications in an office environment. The employee will spend a majority of the time in the warehouse environment which includes client product, racks, conveyers, stairs, people and multiple levels of storage.  All safety precautions should be followed when navigating through the operation.
