SUMMARY

 

The DSV Project Specialist is responsible for delivering assigned project on time, on budget and in the agreed scope and quality levels.  To do this, the role has to interface with all project stakeholders. The Project Specialist works closely with internal/external clients to consult on client requirements, expectation management, risk and issue management, and change management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Works closely with the project office management, business stakeholders, clients, and business analysts throughout assigned projects
Works both independently and in teams
Provides regularly scheduled project updates to Managers, project teams, and clients
Coordinates between all stakeholders at the project level
Adhere to prescribed DSV project management methodology
Provides project management support to the client project team around changes to existing projects
Ensure proper processes are implemented to ensure continuity which includes training, implementation of service level agreement, etc.
Monitor and control all aspects of the project
Maintain a clear view of the project’s business objectives
Respond to and resolve project issues and risks appropriately
Communicate regularly and effectively with project stakeholders
Preparing progress reports on projects as required
Responsible to complete and maintain project management work products such as schedules, project plans, change requests, etc.
Monitor and analyze project effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative tools
Recommend and implement modifications to improve effectiveness and attain project milestones
 

OTHER DUTIES

 

Keep abreast with best practice in Project Management as a profession
Ensure regular and accurate stakeholder management
Ability to work remotely and after hours, if needed
Performs other duties as required
 

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

2 years ’experience in project management
Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline or equivalent work combinations of education and work experience
Experience with Red Prairie WMS and/or another WMS configuration
Understanding of Microsoft Office with intermediate knowledge of excel
Knowledge of SQL and Macros
Experience working on small, fast paced project teams
Sound functional knowledge of distribution/warehousing management, operations, and processes
