Move forward as Operational Key Account Manager at DSV in Schiphol

Do you want to play a key role as a connecting link between clients and DSV colleagues? Then the role of operational key account manager at DSV in Rozenburg is tailor-made for you!

 

You get it done

In this role, you will be the connecter between the customer, sales, suppliers, and the operational export department. You recognize customer needs and advise them on new opportunities and possibilities with a central focus on customer experience. Additionally, you discuss these matters with team leads and your manager from the export department. You share market trends, aviation and air cargo news, and tackle new and existing customer-related challenges with them. You identify potential new opportunities and proactively anticipate them: You’re on it.

 

How you do this? Your primary focus will be on existing customers. This group requires extra attention, and you will provide that personalized attention. Your up-to-date knowledge of air freight, the current market, and extensive experience with Excel are crucial for your role. Sharing this information and trends with clients and colleagues (via MBRs and QBRs presentations) is your responsibility. The goal is to make export department operations even more customer-oriented together. You achieve this by:

  • implementing new opportunities and acquired business through short SOPs and training sessions;
  • visiting the client alongside a team lead or export manager;
  • motivating our colleagues and working with the export manager to elevate customer service to the next level;
  • providing training and brief personal guidance to your colleagues.

You bring

  • a bachelor’s degree, preferably supplemented with a relevant study in Business, Commercial Economics, or Logistic;
  • at least 5 years of experience in a relevant commercial or operational role within air freight;
  • proficient in Dutch and English, both spoken and written;
  • energy and enthusiasm that you can convey to the team and clients.
